The Wind Is His Glory
A poem about how God can shift things, suddenly.
The wind is His glory
The invisible, intangible power that shifts things in their place.
No one Has seen the wind, yet
We all have felt it
The product of things too small
for eye to see changing
in an atmosphere that
Surrounds us
We know it’s there because we see
what it moves though we cannot see
what moves it
We see the leaves stir through we cannot
see what stirs it.
The wind is His glory
Shaking the small things
& making the tall things bow
It blows the seeds from the mountains to the valleys
And lifts the dust of the valley to the mountain
As the atmosphere shifts, it takes the seed of the meadows
and sows it into the grounds of the garden.
The wind stirs up what what has settled
And draws down the things that begun to float away.
It tempers the heat of the sun
It stirs still waters
And sings a song of change
Harmonizing with the sounds of the day
It carries what we cannot
Reminds us that even when we cannot make things move
God will shift the atmosphere
To create a wind that will move
Things for us
The Wind is His glory

It’s amazing how God can change and shift things so suddenly. I’m experiencing that right now. Beautiful poem!
